Combat Tutorials

Learn the GURPS tacital combat rules as you fight in the arena, no experience necessary. There will be several bouts, with each bout adding addition rules: facing, armor and hit location, extra effort, posture, …. Learn by doing, not just reading; it's both easy and fun.

Contact Captain Joy to set up an appointment for you or your gaming group. Sessions take place on Roll20, so all you'll need is your web browser. Plan on a session lasting about 90 minutes. Make sure you have access to the cheatsheets during the tutorial.

After one session you will confidently add GURPS tactical combat to your own adventures. At least one Combat Tutorial session is required before joining in the Arena Battles.


Arena Battles

Pit your fighter against others as your secret masters send you to do battle in various arenas. This is not a "proper" campaign; it consists of 90-minute-long, player-vs-player, GURPS tactical combat sessions. You must have participated in a least one Combat Tutorial before joining Arena Battles. See the Campaign Planning Form for further information. Fights are on Thursdays, and start at various times (to accomodate fighters from different time zones).
