Equipment: Gladiators start out with ordinary equipment appropriate for their fighting style. See the “Fighting Kit” section on GURPS Martial Arts: Gladiators, p. 38-9.

Pompe: opening parade—the program is published and gladiators make first impressions on people that may later choose if they live or die.
Cena Libera: pre-fight feast—gladiators may have to make self-control rolls to resist disadvantages. Failing to do so may result in penalties during their fight.
Procession: combatants, both human and animal, are inspected. Gladiators for the first time can get a read on how the crowd is feeling about them.
Prolusio: mock combat—a low-risk opportunity with wooden weapons for gladiators to show off and build popularity with the crowd.
Venatio: animal fights—against each other, criminals, or gladiators.
Matches: Gladiators doing what they do. A victory (V), stans missus (SM), or missus (M) will be award to each gladiator after each match, assuming they survive.
Bare Handed: the gladiator earns 5 character points.
Fair Fight: the gladiator earns 3 character points.
Man Over Nature: the gladiator earns 1 character point.
Victory: the victor earns 4 character points.
Stans Missus: dismissed while standing—both fighters earn 4 character points.
Missus: The loser, who managed to secure the favor of the crowd (or else he would be dead), earns 2 character points.
